About this page
The financial statements, ratios and scores come from Goldman Sachs's own filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC EDGAR XBRL data: 10-K and 10-Q), in the currency it reports in. Valuation multiples divide the whole company's market value by its results, so they are right for ADRs too. The Piotroski F-score (0-9) adds one point for each sign of improving profitability, funding and efficiency; the Altman Z-score combines five balance-sheet ratios into a bankruptcy-risk score. Credit ratings, analyst estimates and ESG scores are paid data and not shown. Compare the whole list on the stock screener and see upcoming reports on the earnings calendar.
About this chart
Prices of Goldman Sachs (GS) on the New York market, adjusted for splits and dividends, as far back as the data goes (1999-05-04). Pick a range from one month to MAX, switch between daily, weekly and monthly bars or a log scale, drag to move through time and zoom with a pinch, ctrl + scroll or the +/− buttons. Under indicators you can add simple and exponential moving averages (20, 50, 100, 200; 9, 21, 50, 200), Bollinger Bands, a Donchian channel, Parabolic SAR, volume, RSI, MACD, Stochastic, ADX and ATR; your choice stays in this browser.
The chart starts with the 50-day (amber) and 200-day (cyan) moving averages. A golden cross (GC) is the day the 50-day closes above the 200-day and a death cross (DC) the day it closes back below; the DanioX rules buy at the next open (▲), sell at the next open after the 50-day closes back below (▼, the death cross), use a 15% stop and hold at most 500 sessions. It is the best of six strategies we tested on the world's 100 largest stocks, though it did not beat holding them all: see the live signals, the backtest and calculator and the whole market.
